Dear All,
I have read about this problem and applied the suggestions--changed security settings on macros, store the template in the correct place, etc.--and yet I have now recorded and "saved" a multi-step macro 10 times and when I close and then re-launch Word, it has gone. Can I save it to another location and then load it in? Isn't there a simpler way? Any and all suggestions gratefully received, Barb Wanless |

You can save it to a template and then load that template as a global
template by putting it in Word's Startup folder. See http://addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm for step-by-step instructions on moving / sharing / copying / backing-up customizations including AutoText, AutoCorrect, keyboard assignments, toolbars, macros, etc. Chances are that you have Adobe Acrobat Version 7 installed. It blocks saving changes to normal.dot. If so, see the last part of http://www.gmayor.com/lose_that_adob...at_toolbar.htm. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://www.mvps.org/word which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup.
