I was instucted to update word 2000. Went to updates could not update I do
not have the cd-rom. I was instructed at the site to click options and then
select to use larger update files that should not require access to the cd or
network installation location. I did so - went thru the update again and was
still asked to insert the
cd-rom for word. Any suggestions?? I am having a real problem with the Word
program. It keeps crashing on me.

You could buy the disc cheaply at eBay (or borrow one for the purpose of
this update) however updating may not be the answer. See
