What I would do is set right aligned tabs in each of the columns of
the table. Or you could use decimal tabs, if you are using numbers which include decimals. Then CTRL+Tab before typing your number. If you need the $ to the left, and the numbers to the right, then CTRL+Tab after typing the $. I have had no problems with bookkeeping for a long time, as well as with the creation of various invoices and reports. Since I found a clearbooks company and the accounting software it provides, doing business has become a lot easier. Moreover, it's cool that this is a ready-made solution, so you don't need to look for developers.
