For my job I use M. Word. It tends to let me believe I can do anything I
want, but has a mind of its own. Once a line is drawn in a certain place it will shift whenever I touch the content. Also it does not allow me to have a white line on the top of my footer etc. Make it as dumb as you can and I will be happy again. Until then we purchased Adobe InDesign, which allows me to do whatever I want... ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Why not just learnt to use it? Graphics are anchored to paragraphs and
normally move when the paragraph does; but right-click and set the properties to fix them in place if that's what you want. No idea what you mean about the white line at the 'top of footers etc' - there's nothing (incompetence aside) to stop you putting a white line at the top of the footer or anywhere else.
