Word automatically inserts a horizontal line at the top of each page after
the endnotes page of a research paper. My bibliography must appear on the last page, but a horizontal line appears across the entire header of this page. I cannot edit the header to remove the line. Help! |

In Normal view, choose View | Endnotes. In the Endnotes pane, click the
arrow beside the dropdown on the toolbar and choose Endnote Separator. Delete the line; you can substitute text if you like. If not, you may want to format the font size and line spacing to 1 so that the default (and ineradicable) separator will not take up much space. You can do the same with the Endnote Continuation Separator. -- Suzanne S.
