created one-level toc, when updating - entire table - pictures of cut/paste
text data, tables and charts are embedded. How do I stop or prevent this ? Thanks |

Thanks The extra material is formatted with the same style as the headings. The TOC just picks up whatever has that style. Go back into the document, select the stuff that shouldn't be in the TOC, and format it with a non-heading style.
