A few things to check:
1. Make sure the PDFMAKER.DOT and PDFMAKERA.DOT files are in your Word 2002 startup folder. In Word, click on Tools | Options | File Locations, to see where your startup folder is. 2. In Word, click on Tools | Macro | Security | Security Level. If your macro security level is set to High, then either change the security level to Medium, or add Adobe to the list of trusted sources. See http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...356731033.aspx "Modify the list of trusted publishers for macros" for more information on how to do the latter. 3. In Word, click on Tools | Templates and Add-ins... under "Global templates and add-ins", is PDFMaker.dot listed as a choice, and is it checked? 4. In Word, click on View | Toolbars... is PDFMaker listed as a choice, and is it checked? ldt200 wrote: I have Word 2002 and Adobe Writer 5.0. While the PDFMaker.dot add-in will work in the Word startup folder, the
Acrobat installation will attempt to put it in the Office startup folder which for Word 2002 is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE10\STARTUP. If your version of Acrobat pre-dates Office 2002 and you don't have the latest add-in update, Acrobat's installer has no way of recognising this folder, so you would have to install the add-in manually. The add-ins you will find in a sub folder of the Adobe folder in C:\Program Files -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org garfield-n-odie [MVP] wrote: A few things to check: 1.
