Actually, many people cannot see what you are asking because you put the
entire initial question in the subject line, which is not a good idea. But see if this info helps: Probably part of your text is set to No Proofing, "do not check spelling or grammar," or the wrong language. You have to assign a language to the text for Word to spellcheck it. To test this, with the cursor in a word that isn't being checked, go to Tools | Language and see what comes up selected. To assign a language, select all text and use Tools | Language. This may have happened if you pasted in some text that was already set to No Proofing, and then kept hitting enter and typing from that block of text. If this happens in multiple documents, you may need to use a style-based solution instead of the manual formatting solution given above. Post back if so. Check the spelling options set at tools options spelling & grammar and
check the language settings at tools language to ensure that the text you are checking has the same language settings as the language you are spell checking and that the 'do not check spelling' check box is clear. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Vonni wrote: Sorry I wrote work instead of Word. |
