Default Word 2007, New doc problem

Has anyone experienced this?

Last week I created a template in Word2007. I've been trying to go back into
word and create a new, different, doc. Everytime I open word it
automatically opens that template I've created as a new document (as a .doc).
If I click on the New doc icon, or even go into the Office Button to manually
open a new doc (double clicking the blank page option), it continues to bring
up the template as a new document.

Does anyone know how to fix this so I can re?set the new doc's default as a
blank page?

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...ocNotBlank.htm. (Note that the
template in Word 2007 is named Normal.dotm instead of Normal.dot, but
everything else is the same.)
