Hello-
Shift+Tab does, indeed, work for the purpose of decreasing an indent applied to a paragraph. The insertion point needs to be at the beginning of the first line of the paragraph. It also works for reversing direction when navigating in a table or form. If you are trying to use the keystroke to 'remove' tabs, use Backspace instead (or Delete if you are to the left of the tab to be removed). Not working on Bullets and Number for an outline. Outline format is not
automatic, I must go to the Stlye box on each new line. The automatic format is not effective help. In Word 97 and 2000, click on Tools | Options | Edit | check the
"Tabs and backspace set left indent" box | OK. In Word 2002 and 2003, click on Tools | AutoCorrect Options | AutoFormat As You Type | check the "Set left- and first-indent with tabs and backspaces" box | OK.
