Back up the Custom.dic file (or other *.dic files if you've created
more than one). See http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/FilesToBackup.htm to find out what folder it's in. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. The default custom dictionary filename is Custom.dic, but you could have
named it anything you wanted when you created it. The default location for Custom.dic is "C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Proof", but it may be in a different location depending on what installation options you chose when you installed Office.
