Is there a way (other than the scroll lock) to compare documents? Is there
something that can go through two documents and highlight what is different automatically? Thanks, Trish |

Yes, in versions up to Word 2003 there's a Compare command on the Tools
menu. In Word 2007 it's on the Review ribbon. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. You didn't say what version of Word but in Word 2002 it's: 1. Open the first document 2. Click on "Tools Compare and merge documents" 3. Navigate to the other document. Click on "Compare". 4. You get a new document with the two compared, which you should save and/or print out. What does Scroll Lock have to do with any of this? -- Bob http://www.kanyak.com |
