Default Table of Contents Deleted- Help

I pressed alt f9 and now my table of contents is missing. Is there any way
to get it back w/o starting from scratch? I'm working with Word 2003.

You should be seeing the TOC field instead. Alt+F9 again to toggle the
display back from field codes to field results.

Oops....I was trying to help someone out and she deleted taht field not
realizing she was suppose to hit it again. She's just going to type it over.
Thanks Suzanne.

Unless all the Heading styles got eliminated, just Insert a new ToC!
(Insert Reference Index & Tables Table of Contents).

Well, I hope she doesn't plan to *type* the TOC. She should instead reinsert
the TOC using Insert | Reference | Index and Tables | Table of Contents.
