Don't know exactly what you mean by the "letter merger", but
a. assuming it is the standard facility in Word for merging letters, try the following - open the mail merge main document (i.e. the "form letter") - click Alt-F9 to reveal the field codes (which look like { MERGEFIELD myfield }) - if there is a field like { NEXT }, that is probably the cause of this problem - try deleting it. b. if it is something else, please spell out exactly how you are doing your merge.
