Themes 2003 vs 2007
I created a page in Word 2003 using a Theme. As of 2 weeks ago I now use
Word 2007. How do I remove the theme? I have gone to the Page Layout/Theme section, but if it's there, I can't figure out how to use it. Thanks, Christine |

Themes 2003 vs 2007
Are you really referring to themes? Note that themes were introduced in Word
2007, so you couldn't have created one in Word 2003. In Word 2007, you cannot remove a theme, but you can reset to the theme from the document template: Page Layout | Themes | Reset to Theme from Template. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "CShel" wrote in message ... Yes, MS Office Word 2003. You would click Format on the Menu Bar, then
Theme. And pick a design (Theme). I just had a coworker open her Word, as she's not been upgraded yet. "Stefan Blom" wrote: Are you really referring to themes? I apologize, I forgot about the Format | Theme command.
The Theme feature in Word 2003 is different from that of Word 2007. As you have noticed, if you open the *.doc in Word 2007, the commands in the Themes group (on the Page Layout tab) are greyed out. Open the document in Word 2003. You should be able to remove the Word 2003 theme by clicking Format | Theme and then choosing "(No Theme)" in the list. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "CShel" wrote in message ... I figured that would be a last-ditch option. We'll all be moving over to
Word 2007 as a company shortly and there will undoubtedly be some pages that I want to revise and remove the old themes. We'll catch as many as we can, but if we miss a few, is there no other option, aside from creating a new page with the old content?
