Can I change the keyboard using MS Word 2007 to type phonetic symbols
(International Phonetic Alphabet) as used in a linguistics course? |

You can assign keyboard shortcuts to any character. Open Insert
Symbol, go to the "IPA Extensions" range, select a character, and click the button at the bottom, and follow the directions. There doesn't seem to be a limit on how many you can have in a template.
