![]() I am merging a time value into a mail merge document from an Excel source. Despite my merge field being formatted {MERGERFIELD"SubRespEnd"\@ "h:mm am/pm" } 12:00AM is being displayed as 1/1/1900. Is anyone able to shed some light on the cause and a possible solution? -- MaxArk |

What is the data source?
Using Office 2007 with an data in an Excel spreadsheet with the cells containing the data formatted as *1:30:55 PM, so that entering 0 in a cell displays 12:00:00 AM and then using that spreadsheet as a mail merge data source without any formatting switch, the data is displayed in the Word document as 12:00:00 AM. Adding the \@ "h:mm AM/PM" switch to the field, it is displayed as 12:00 AM If I use a custom format h:mm AM/PM in Excel, 0 entered into a cell displays as 12:00 AM and the behaviour when it is merged into Word is identical to the above, 12:00:00 AM without the switch and 12:00 AM with it. This holds for both a DDE connection to the data source as well as an OLE DB (Database) connection. -- Hope this helps.
