OK here goes..never done this ...obviously very techno bereft. Problem is I
typed a survey from a word document attached to an email and saved the changes to it but I didn't 'save as' a file name. Now I can't find it....not in Recent Items...where is it? |

It's probably in your temporary files folder.
Go back an e-mail that also has a document in it (preferably a different document than the one you're looking for). Open it from the e-mail and then activate the Save As function -- BUT DON'T COMPLETE THE SAVE. Just hit Save As and look at the directory that it wants to save the document to. Write down the full address of this directory. Then go to My Computer and navigate to the temporary folder shown in the Save As dialog. If you can't find some of the folders in the path, they might be hidden folders. In that case you'll need to go to your Folder Options and change the options so you can see hidden files. You should never open Word attachments directly from e-mail - however it
*may* be possible to recover your changes.
