I am having trouble drawing a table around some pre existing text in a
document i created in Word. Every time i try, the text gets moved down underneath the table. I actually want to incorporate the text into the table. |

Select the text. Using menu TableConver. Do not try to draw a table around text using the drawing pencil, select your text, choose Table - convert - text to table - choose an appropriate separator - click OK.
