Hi ?B?U2NyYXRjaGluZyBteSBoZWFkIGFuZCB3b25kZXJpbmc=?= ,
I have a computer with win98, with a French language version of office 2000. I would like to install Word 97 (English). How might I do that? You don't want to try it, unless you really don't mind have mixed languages in your dialog boxes (and I mean any and all dialog boxes, not just those in Office). Microsoft not only does not support parallel installation of multiple language versions, they actively advise against it. And my experience confirms that. If you did decide to try it, I'd say uninstall Office 2000, install 97, the re-install 2000. Better - and the approach I've used for a number of years, now - is to invest in virtual machine software that will allow you to run another instance of Windows within the "main" window. That way, you can keep the languages totally separate, and work in both at the same time.
