Tables of Contents
Could someone refer me to information about how to format a table of
contents? When I select a preset format, such as Formal or Simple, 1st line indents are imposed on headings. I don't even know how to tell whether the indents come from the "TOC style," or from my normal template. If I apply a style or directly apply paragraph formatting--say to hanging, which seems like how it should be--and increase the font size so they match my text, the numbers are too crowded. Obviously there are a bunch of adjustments, and my guess is Styles is where they should be triggered. But this TOC "style" seems a style like no other... Stephen Diamond |
