I am trying to place some text on an arc path. How do I do this? The only way using only Word is to put it into WordArt (on the Drawing toolbar). Select any style from the WordArt gallery and enter the text. If the one there that's already an arc doesn't please you, insert it with any other style; then click the WordArt Shape button on the WordArt toolbar that appears, and pick an arc shape. Note that by dragging the boundaries of the shape you can affect whether the arc is more circular or a flatter section of an oval. The alternative is to use another graphics program such as CorelDraw to create text on a path, save it as a graphics file, and import that into Word. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
