Default Why do file names turn from black to blue?

Some of the file names of my saved files (word, excel and powerpoint) have
turned blue insead of being black like they were when they were originally
saved. Does anyone know why or what it means?

It means they're compressed. There is an option in Windows to compress files
and folders (on NTFS drives only). There is also an option (Control Panel |
Folder Options) to display compressed files and folders in a different color
or not.
