Protected section in a Word template won't print. I can view the section when
I open the template but it disappears when I do a Print Preview or print it. My co-worker can print the same template correctly. What setting in Word is causing this error? |

Any chance that the portion not printing is in a text box? Form fields
should not be in text boxes, by the way. If it is a text box that is not printing, you need to turn on the printing of drawing objects in the print options dialog. What you are talking about is what Word calls an "online form." Charles,
Your suggestion was exactly right! I'd checked my coworkers settings for Print options and missed that checkbox. Thanks for your help. You are welcome. Glad it helped. Keep in mind though, that it is my
understanding that text boxes are poor holders for fields. You should consider converting them to frames or using tables as holders instead. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/ which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup. Thanks for the suggestion. The design of the the template is entirely out of
my control but I will pass on your suggestion as this particular template is used by over a thousand people in MI. It is a very big deal to change it. "Charles Kenyon" wrote: You are welcome.
