Default how to have word open in a maximized, full page view

He is opening word by double clicking the icon on the desktop or by opening a
word file via the DocsOpen program. How can i get it to launch the same
regardless of how he opens it?

Is the user closing Word (and Windows) properly, or just switching off?
As for document recovery - see
http://www.gmayor.com/what_to_do_when_word_crashes.htm
If Word is crashing regularly - see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...peningWord.htm
How is he opening Word? - check the properties of the shortcut.

I have a user who wants to have his word window open in a maximized
full page view, every time he opens it. There doesn't seem to be any
pattern in how it opens currently. Document Recovery also pops up on
the left hand side from time to time and he does not want to have to
close that out everytime either. Are there solutions for these
problems, other than telling him to click maximize and close document
recovery everytime...Thanks......
