As a mac user, Word has a gallery that takes me right to my templates, which,
when selected open a new document based on the template without changing the template. How do I get the same results in the WINTEL PC environment on word. Same question for Excel. |

In Office 2002 (XP) and 2003, click File | New. This opens a Task Pane at the
right. Ab. 1/2 way down you will see an entry "New form template". Below that is a list of recently used templates, and "General Templates" - clicking the latter will take you to your templates folder, which is the equivalent of Mac's template gallery. -- Ted |

For easy access, you may want to restore the old FileNew dialog box;
