Thanks Graham. I read alot of your answers to other posts, and find them
very helpful. That is why I knew if I posted my problem, it would be solved. This way of doing labels is a snap, instead of typing each name over into a label doc. I had never converted text to a table before. "Graham Mayor" wrote: Word seems happiest with tables as data files (though it can use a variety of data formats). Select your list and use table convert text to table. If the first row is not your fieldname(s) then add a first row and make it so. You can then use this document as a label merge data file. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org CarolB wrote: I want to do a Mail Merge and make filing labels - Avery 5866. My data source is a list in a word document. I have tried several ways with no success. I was able to do a Mail Merge when I made address labels. |
