Don't SAVE to the CD; COPY to the CD (or use your CD-mastering software).

You do NOT want to try to save directly to a CD (or any other removable media) because the working folder is where Word creates temp files, and this can cause problems. Instead, save the file to the HD, then copy to the CD. To open a CD file for edit, copy to the HD, remove the read-only attribute, edit, save, then copy back to the CD. -- Suzanne S.
