Default Read only

Don't SAVE to the CD; COPY to the CD (or use your CD-mastering software).

Files on a CD (even a CD-RW) are read-only by default. You do NOT want

to
try to save directly to a CD (or any other removable media) because the
working folder is where Word creates temp files, and this can cause
problems. Instead, save the file to the HD, then copy to the CD. To open

a
CD file for edit, copy to the HD, remove the read-only attribute, edit,
save, then copy back to the CD.
