Since that setting is saved with the document, it should have affected the
display on anyone's computer *provided that the document was actually saved.* If you did not make any other changes in the document after changing this setting, it may not have been saved. It does *not* prevent a user from running a spelling or grammar check manually, but it does prevent "Check spelling/grammar as you type" from displaying. -- Suzanne S.
