I am looking for a way to extract the text that I highlight in Word and put
into another document? Can this be done? |

If you mean that you have used the highlighter to mark it, then yes, you
can. In the Find dialog, leave the "Find what" box blank but set the format to "Highlight." Check the box for "Highlight [select] all items found." Once Word has selected all the highlighted text, you can copy it and paste into another document. -- Suzanne S.
