Default How do you type the power of in word? algebra

On US keyboards, the shortcuts are

Ctrl+= for subscript
Ctrl+Shift+= for superscript

step 1 : mark your number
step 2: press "ctrl" and "+" (for superscript)
or
press "ctrl" and "#"
(for subscript)
