Hi Fletcher,
When I paste text from an external source (like a website) into my word documents, the paste options icon comes up, and I always have to designate that I want the pasted text to match the destination formatting. Is there a way for this option to be the default, so I don't have to select it every time? Unfortunately, no. But you could record the paste, then selecting the paste option, in a macro and use that.
