The footers automatically gray - or lighten - when I return to the body of my

In Print Layout view, you can't. When the body text is active, the headers and footers are dimmed, and vice versa. There's no way to turn that off. You can use Print Preview to look at the document as it will print. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
