I've got a similar set up in my department.
Insert a blank Body Text paragraph and then paste the problem text unformatted. You'll have to go in and clean up any bullets that come over as they'll be converted to flat text rather than real word bullets, but you won't bring in junk styles and all pasted text will be Body Text. For our template, I added a macro for Paste Unformatted and assigned it to a button on a custom toolbar. "crileysmith" wrote: Forgot to say that we are using MS Word 2003 -- crileysmith DTP for Fed. Some are previous projects based on the template, while others have never been associated with the template at any level. Copying and pasting from previous documents based on the template is simple. The problems begin when we are required to copy large amounts of text from older files and files from subcontractors, everything pastes in as normal and we have to waste time choosing what should be body text and what should be bullets/headings, etc... Is there a way to reset MS Words default so that everything pastes in as body text? -- crileysmith DTP for Fed. Proposals |
