I am using Word version 2002.
When I add a hyperlink to a document and click on it, it goes
directly to the other document - no problem. However, when I save
the document. the hyperlink address changes and then the hhyuper link
will not work. for example:

Functioning Hyper Link Address Before Saving The Document
K:\DPT-PROCEDURES\Incoming Inventory Report.pdf

Changed Hyer Link Address After Saving The Document
../../../network/DPT-PROCEDURES/Incoming Inventory Report.pdf

When I click on this new address, the following message appears:
The address of this site is not valid. Check the address and try
again.

Why does Word adjust the address on save? Any thoughts.
I am on a network. Is this something in word or in my network?
