Can anyone help.
I've constructed a simple client questionnaire in Word, using checkboxes and textboxes. The purpose is for clients to complete the Word document and return it to us as an updated e-mail attachment. Everything's fine through the Design mode and when I exit Design mode. I can click in each text box and add text, and check each checkbox. However, as soon as I click the toolbar padlock icon, to protect the document, clicking into any of the first series of textboxes automatically activates the first checkbox. If I switch the padlock off, I'm back to a useable form. Any thoughts as to what the problem is... and, more importantly, the fix? Thanks in anticipation, Mark Higgitt donorflex Birmingham England |

The controls on the design toolbar are not intended for use in protected
forms. Use check box form fields and text form fields if you want a protected form. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Mark Higgitt wrote: Can anyone help. Use the Forms toolbar to add the items Graham is referring to. If you need
help, see http://word.mvps.org/faqs/customizat...nTheBlanks.htm. In particular, you may find the links to Dian D Chapman's series of articles useful. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Graham Mayor" wrote in message ...
