I believe you must carefully ensure that there are no conflicting settings
in master documents and subdocuments. Also, note that master documents tend to corrupt. See http://word.mvps.org/faqs/general/Wh...ocsCorrupt.htm. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "redjones" wrote in message ... I forgot to add that I'm using master and subdocuments. I just found that when I look at the subdocument the numbering is okay, but it's incorrect in the master document. I am making all my changes through the master document...hope this helps with anyone who may know the source of the problem. "redjones" wrote: I've followed Shauna Kelly instructions at: http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numb...Numbering.html but my chapter numbering is starting at zero. When I look at the formating using the Styles and FormatingModifyFormatNumbering it says it starting at 1 but if I go to the toolbar and look at FormatBullets and NumberingOutlined NumberingCustomize I see that the numbering starts at zero. According to Shauna's instructions, I'm not suppose to make any changes here. I must be overlooking something...but what? Thanks |
