Please can anybody solve this problem? I am no longer able to highlight a
word or phrase in WORD and delete it by pressing enter. I can do it by highlighting and pressing deplete but its just not as easy as it used to be - how do I re-activate the original function - I think the problem has occured from having received documents from lots of people and WORD has just held on to this! Thank you |

Make sure that the "Typing replaces selected text" option is cleared in
Office button | Word Options, Advanced tab. If you are using Word 2003, you'll find the option on the Edit tab of Tools | Options. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Back space deletion function lost" wrote in message ... But, of course, you should *check* the option, not clear it.
