In Word 2003 you can write, but the writing is actually in graphics
(drawings). To start: 1. Insert-Picture-Ink Drawing and Writing 2. A drawing box, and the "Ink Drawing and Writing" toolbar should appear. 3. You can select a pen type and colour using the first icon and start writing 4. Click the Stop inking button to stop. To conert the ink to "typed text", you can select the graphic that contains the inked text, right click and select Copy Ink As Text If you enable the Ink Drawing and Writing toolbar, you can start writing a new piece of inked text by clicking on the pen selection button and selecting a pen. You can also insert ink annotations and comments more directly using the icon on the standard toolbar. If you are going to be enterering a lot of text using ink, and you have OneNote it may be worth comparing the facilites the two programs have for inikng and conversion to text. I don't know how it all works in Word 2007 or Vista. -- Peter Jamieson http://tips.pjmsn.me.uk "Ramy El Housieny [MSFT]" wrote in message ...
