If the M-W dictionary is designed to work with Word, it should install as an
add-in and provide dictionary functionality. But realize that the ability to look up pronunciations and definitions and the like (dictionary functions) have nothing to do with the function of Word's "lexicon" files, which are used only to check spelling. -- Suzanne S. "Don" wrote in message ... A custom dictionary only adds words to the basic dictionary in word. I know that much. What I'd like to know is whether it's possible to replace the whole dictionary with a Mirriam-Webster dictionary (I have it on CD). (i.e. replace it, rather than add to it). Second question. Maybe the dictionary already there is the M-W dictionary. Anyone know? -- Thanks, Don |
