In Word 2003 or earlier, click on Tools | Options | General tab |
uncheck the "Automatically create drawing canvas" box | OK. In Word 2007, there is a similar option in Office Button | Word Options | Advanced | Editing options. SanDiegoSunRiser wrote: I have this office phone list with the staff names and numbers in Word. (It is done in a text document and not a table.) Each staff person is separated by a line across the page. I am revising the list and am trying to draw an additional line, but when I click on the line button on the Draw Toolbar at the bottom, a huge box appears which says "Create Your Drawing Here." I thought that when you click on the line button, you then just click in the document where you want to draw the line and drag it across. That is not happening and I don't know why. |
