As Herb implies, MDB is a type of Access format file. You will not be able
to open it in Word, other than through the mail merge tools - and maybe not then if you open it and edit in Access. You should be able to edit it in Access and you should be able to import it (as suggested by Herb) into Outlook where it will be much simpler to maintain. If you don't want it mixing with your usual contacts list, create a separate one for this list, or use categories, and see http://www.gmayor.com/mailmerge_from_outlook.htm -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org HIKELLY wrote: Help! I saved 200 names/addresses in a file (ext. mdb). When I tried to open it to add to the address book it looked like gibberish!! |
