Default How do I get back the function that deletes text by highlighti

Word 2003 especially has a bad habit of randomly changing settings stored in
its registry data key. You could reset the data key to attempt a cure but
the problem tends to return. Better to set those wayward preferences in auto
running macros - see http://www.gmayor.com/installing_macro.htm

I no longer have the function where I can delete text in a Word
document by highlighting it and pressing "Enter." Instead, I have
to backspace to delete text, and it's very time-consuming. We've
had bad weather here, and I think the lightning did something to my
computer. Please advise; thanks!
