Default Accessing custom template folder

upgraded from Office Pro 03 to Office Enterprise 07...

1) In word, have they dropped the ability to scan an image directly into the
document? I used this all the time, and cannot belive they dropped it. Is
there a way to do this?

2) the upgrade did not give us access to custom created templates in a
seperate folder. Where to I set 07 to look at that folder in addition to the
templates that come with 07?

3) In 03, you could attach a template other than normal (I think it was in
Tools, Templates and add ins). Where is that in 07?

Thanks
Bob

In answer to your questions,

1) You are correct, they dropped this from the product. The suggested
workaround is to use your scanning software instead. (I think there's also
someone who's working on a macro for this so you may see that solution
posted too.)

2) When you save a template Word does not automatically navigate to the
Templates folder as in past versions. In the Save As dialog box take a look
on the left. You'll see a shortcut for Trusted Templates (If using Windows
XP) or Templates (if using Vista). This shortcut will take you to the User
Templates folder. Also, to access your custom templates, in the New Document
dialog box click the "My Templates" link.

3) The Document Template is found on the Developer tab. If you do not see
this tab then click the Microsoft Office Button, click Word Options, and in
the Popular section select "Show Developer tab in the Ribbon". Note this
will turn on the Developer tab for all Office applications.
