how do you change the size of the cursor that looks like an " I "

Has your cursor reduced in size? Scroll to 500% and back to 100%. Does this
work for you?

Default cursor size

cursor reduces in size when it wants. OK, so you zoom to 500 and then back.
And it goes back to normal. But Why?Why? WHY? in earth does it do that?

If anyone knew why, there would probably be a permanent fix, but no one has
yet figured out why it happens (and it doesn't happen to everyone).
