Default Geting back to old copy

Hello all ,

I have a word document on my disktop witch i copyed a short cut of it on my
documents . the issue is i modifayed content of this short cut not knowing it
will affect the oregnal document !! .. Is there any way to role back the
changes after saveing ??? please advise

Default Geting back to old copy

A shortcut is merely that - a shortcut.... to a document. If you have opened
the document via the shortcut then it is the document you have edited and
not the shortcut. If you have Word configured to automatically create
backups and you have only saved the document once then the backup will be
the document before you edited, otherwise it is gone.
