I am having trouble inserting an Excel 2003 workbook into a Word 2003
document. I follow the insert instructions but when I click on the file to be inserted it comes up all giberish and won't convert to a readable document. The 8 page Excel file turns into 1000+ pages of symbols. What am I doing wrong? Thanks. |

![]() I dont think you can insert (embed) an Excel workBOOK, but you can insert sheets or charts. If you want to be able to edit them from within Word (not an option I like) you have to embed them (Insert/Object/..). If you just want the cart/sheet/table to display in Word, you can go via Copy/Paste (choose Paste Special for the appropriate option). If you wish you can link the Excel sheet(s) to Word dynamically, i.e. any change in the source XLS will be reflected in the destination Word doc. bobm;2439919 Wrote: I am having trouble inserting an Excel 2003 workbook into a Word 2003 document.
