Default Opening word based on a template in IE

Managed to sort it. I opened the web page in Word and relinked the anchor
specifying a template rather than a word document.
Thanks
Peter

I know that you can open word with a switch of /ttemplatename, but how do I
do that from a web page? I have a form template that I want to be used to log
incidents, so I want word to open based on this template. I have opened word
documents, but not document templates before.
Also my template has some drop down menu choices and I have noticed that if
I select one down the list, I cannot go back up it again. For example one
list is Production
Development
Test
Other
If I select Test, then I cannot go back up to Development.
