can someone help i am trying to convert a word doc to a pdf file so now one
can type on it when posted.

Did you mean no-one rather than now one?

Ultimately any document in whatever format is the users to do with what they
want. You can only slow them down a bit. If you have the full version
Acrobat you can add security options, but they can be circumvented by
someone who wants to do that. The free PDF converters don't have the
security measures.
