How to use Format Painter to alter repeating text
I have a document that needs several subject headers to be changed from a 12
pt font to an 11pt font. I know this can be done easily with Format Painter, by holding down a specific key and highlighting the text that needs altering. However, I am not sure of the process? Can anyone tell me? |

Sandra,
Are subject headers all of the same style? If so, then change the font setting in the style. See: http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/styl...sOnStyles.html If you really want to do it with format painter then select a bit of text and with it selected change the font to 11, then click format painter. Now you simply paint the format at the other locations. |

A much better approach is to modify the style applied to these headers or
headings. -- Suzanne S.
